The lotus seed contains perfectly formed leaves, an intricate template for the adult plant. Growing out of muddy water, the lotus flower itself is strong, clean, and bright. During the day it rises above the water and opens, petal by petal, towards the sun. In the evening it folds its petals in and sinks beneath the water’s surface.

A symbol of radiant intelligence and illumination, the blue lotus (nymphaea caerulea) is known for its mystical attributes. Many cultures revere it for its purity and consider it a symbol of Enlightenment and resurrection.
