Blue Lotus Chai is a woman-founded and family-owned business based in Eugene, Oregon. We make award winning, instant masala chai, using organic spices. Inspired by traditional Indian masala chai, we use simple, organic, spices and tea. Blue Lotus Chai is for real chai drinkers; just add hot water, sweetener, and your milk of choice. Our chai is plant- based, organic, and gluten-free. Based in Oregon, we’re a woman-founded, values-driven company bringing warmth, wellness, and connection to every sip!

Blue Lotus Chai was born from a passion for delicious, authentic masala chai that she had in India.
After many trips, she was inspired to create a product that honored the essence of these experiences. Thus, came Blue Lotus Chai
Thoughtfully Sourced Ingredients
Barbara aimed to craft a chai that would satisfy even the most ardent chai lovers. One that was quick and easy to prepare, pure and authentic, affordable and versatile. Returning to India, a source for naturally flash-dried brewed tea was found, and organic spices were sampled to narrow down the most quality and robust flavors. With all ingredients sourced, Barbara refined the recipe to perfection.

The Blue Lotus
Recognized across many cultures for thousands of years, the lotus flower symbolizes immaculate purity. The lotus seed holds perfectly formed leaves, a blueprint for the mature plant. Growing in muddy waters, the lotus flower remains robust, clean, and luminous. Each day, it rises above the water, opening its petals towards the sun, and in the evening, it folds its petals and sinks below the surface.
The blue lotus (Nymphaea caerulea) is revered as a symbol of radiant intelligence and enlightenment, known for its mystical qualities. It appears in significant works of art among Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, and Buddhists, as well as Ancient Egypt. In Egypt, the flower is depicted on monuments, papyrus scrolls, pillars, and thrones, honoring Ra, the bringer of light. In Buddhism, the blue lotus represents the triumph of the mind over the senses and wisdom over suffering. In India, it symbolizes individual development and the expansion of the soul.
